Life Update
It has been a gloomy month (literally and otherwise) with a lot to process in my own life and around me. My approach has been to slow things down and focus on taking care of myself through this period, as I make sense of it all and gradually navigate through it. As I’ve done this, life has offered some silver linings. One such silver lining has been getting broadband access. It took a long time (nine months) but finally having access to fast internet has been super helpful for me. It has meant that I can do my work in much less time and with greater focus. It has also meant that I can stream a movie, without having to worry about buffering!

Album Of The Month
Released only a few days ago, ‘The Ascension’ is already turning out to be one of my favorite releases this year. I’ve resonated strongly with the different aspects of life he touches upon including love, grief (individual and collective), faith, healing, and hope. I also like the more electronic direction that Stevens has taken with this album in comparison to his previous solo release.

Book Of The Month
I love listening to audiobooks read by their authors. One that has been on my list for a long time is the memoir ‘wow, no thank you’ by Samantha Irby. As I mentioned, it’s been a gloomy month and I wanted my book selection for this month to be something light and something that made me laugh. I don’t think I could have made a better choice. Right off the bat, the ironies of her life as a writer in the modern world that Irby touches upon felt relatable and also made me chuckle.
